Littleworth Common Walk

On the edge of Lower Green is Littleworth Common, if you are visiting Lower Green you might want to pop into Cafe Rouge for a coffee and a place to park (customers only). The path I took crossed a few roads but enabled a much larger route along The river Rythe.

Oxshott Heath Walk

Just past Esher Common and Arbrook Common on the other side of the A3 is Oxshott Heath, it is accessible by a few car parks but we chose Sandy Lane.

Ditton Common Walk

Ditton Common is sliced and diced by rail and road marking this walk easily accessible from Esher station, it can be found on the other side of the ticket office. The loop takes you past several ponds and pubs, Marneys Village Inn and The Greyhound, it also weaves past houses, benches and through a golf course.

Emberside Recreation Walk

On the north east edge of Lower Green off a small alley between two houses on Grove Way lies the entrance to Emberside Recreation Ground. This small but stunning spot over looks The River Ember and The elevated Island Barn Reservoir. There is also access to a large field, as to its purpose I am yet to ascertain.

Arbrook Common Walk

Next to Esher Common separated by Copsem Lane lies Arbrook Common. I used the same care park and crossed the road, but in hindsight I should have parked in Arbrook Common car park at the end of Arbrook Lane. It’s a short 7 min drive, or 35 min walk from Lower Green. A loop of the common was about 3km for us.

Westend Common Walk

A short drive (7mins) or longer walk (35mins) from Lower Green is Westend Common. Nestled between The River Mole, Homewood, Esher Common and Claremont; Westend Common offers a multitude of compact walks from Horse Shoe Clump car park.

Esher Common Walk

A short 7 min drive, or 35 min walk from Lower Green is Esher Common. Serviced by two car parks, Copsem Lane Car Park or Esher Common car park is is easily accessible on foot or by car or cycle. A loop of the common including Black Pond was 3km for us from Copsem Lane Car Park, well worth a trip.
